About the Artist
My work is rooted in a lifelong curiosity about the natural world and a desire to connect with it through paint, movement, and close observation. I approach art as both an inward and outward journey—one that allows me to explore the texture of landscapes, the rhythms of place, and the quiet magic that exists in ordinary moments.
I graduated with a degree in Art, concentrating in painting, from Elon University in 2003. After many years building my art career in New Orleans, I returned to North Carolina in 2018 and now call the mountains of Tennessee home. This transition has been deeply nourishing for both my life and my creative practice. Surrounded by forests, trails, and shifting light, I find daily inspiration right outside my door.
While much of my recent work reflects this intimate connection to the Southern Appalachian landscape, I also travel regularly with my studio in my backpack, painting and observing as I go. Whether I'm deep in the woods or looking out my desk window, I seek to capture the feeling of presence, stillness, and discovery that nature so generously offers. Each painting is an invitation: to pause, to notice, and to see the world with a softened gaze.
I love connecting with you, so please feel free to reach out, and I'll get back to you shortly!
